When a packaged product is the better choice
- You need review and approval, comments and client sharing now. Iconik includes them on every plan; with us, review is a later build.
- Your team runs Windows or Linux and cannot add a Mac. Media Nexus needs a Mac.
- You want deep panels inside Premiere, Avid, Resolve and Final Cut Pro from day one.
- You want a product many other organizations already run, with a published feature list you can evaluate on your own.
- You want cloud-first access for many outside collaborators.
When Media Nexus fits
- An in-house video or content team with a substantial archive on storage it controls, that keeps losing time finding the right moment.
- You want to see it work on your own footage, against criteria agreed in writing, before you pay anything.
- You want a one-time price with no required renewal, and the system installed and configured for you.
- You would rather the originals never move: no upload, no migration, no renaming.
Not a fit if you have little archived media, rarely reuse old footage, mainly want backup or cloud storage, or want a full editing or review suite. Search finds the candidates and the exact moment; choosing the shot stays with your editor.
