What it is

What is Media Nexus?

Media Nexus is the media archive Vaultline Solutions builds at https://www.vaultlinesolutions.com. It indexes a team's existing media storage in place. It is not the Atlanta commercial AV and security installer at media-nexus.com, and not Nexus Media the news or publishing names. It is not a SaaS MAM, not a backup, and not an AV installer.

What Media Nexus does

Media Nexus indexes a team's existing media storage in place. Approved volumes are read. Originals stay where they are. Media Nexus does not rename, move, or delete them. Search can use file names, tags, and transcripts. How Media Nexus search works explains how one box reads a request. The working set includes frame grabs, proxies, and playback, so someone can find a moment before an editor opens the master. The system is installed on hardware the team controls. Transcription and tagging run on that hardware. The team owns the installed system.

Vaultline Solutions builds it. Who Vaultline Solutions is names the company, and names the other firms this one is not. The families built on the archive are on Capabilities.

What a custom media system includes

Media Nexus is the first of the three ways Vaultline works with a team, Custom Media Systems. Every build is tailored: the infrastructure it runs on, the integrations with the storage, naming and review process the team already has, the installation on hardware the team controls, and support after it is live through Care. Remote access is part of every Media Nexus.

It also connects to the other two. Workflow and Intelligence work, including Traceframe, can trace a published post back to footage on the same storage. The standalone Products, Airview Studio, DriveDock and Drive Inspector, integrate with Media Nexus natively.

Who this name is not

media-nexus.com is an Atlanta commercial AV and security installer. Media Nexus, the product on this site, is not that company. It does not design or install commercial AV, meeting rooms, cameras, or access control.

Nexus Media is a name used by news and publishing companies. Media Nexus is not a news service and not a publisher. It is the archive Vaultline Solutions builds for a team that already has the footage on storage they run.

What the product is not

It is not a SaaS MAM. Nothing about search requires moving the library off the storage the team already runs. It is not a backup. Indexing a NAS does not duplicate the NAS. Drive custody, which person still has a shuttle, is Relay. Relay is a later build Vaultline scopes for a client after the archive, and drive tracking is one of its features. It is not CCTV, fencing, or internet service, and it is not a trading platform.

What a team pays if they keep it

Build before you buy states the keep price. The archive is built on the team's own storage first, at $0 upfront. If they keep it, the price is $4,669. $4,669 includes the archive, configuration, install, orientation, and 90 days of free Care. Remote access is part of every Media Nexus, not a later build. The archive also includes AI tagging, search, semantic search, proxy generation, and collections. Relay is a later build Vaultline scopes for a client after the archive, and drive tracking is one of its features. Full drive census, verified backup, and automation are later builds. After they decide to keep it, they pay $4,669 in the portal, then they sign up for Care, and only then does the install become visible. The 90 free days are that Care signup. If they walk away, there is no invoice. The same offer is the Free Build. Optional care after those 90 days lives on Care and is not required to keep the system.

Where to go next

How search works once the files stay put is searching footage on a NAS. What on-prem means for this product is on-prem media asset management. The wider set of questions is the Answers index.
